Their success in meeting today’s business challenges rests on the way they approach their work.”
In 2008, PwC purchased the inProcess™ software in support of their quality process management system development, implementation, and continual maintenance efforts. Originally, PwC intended to only use the software to map short and long-term projects at their Shared Service Center (SSC) in Columbia, South Carolina, however, through continued use of inProcess™, interest has expanded, generating greater exposure in more highly visible projects.
The greatest challenge facing PwC regarding the inProcess™ software is access. PwC is a global company, and process standardization efforts take time to reach all relevant parties.
In order to solve the issue of global access to the inProcess™ software, both the PMCS and PwC IT Department’s collaborated to stand-up the inProcess™ software on a centralized server located at the PwC US Data Center so that a larger group of users (US and Non-US) can use inProcess™ from a centralized location. As of October 2012, both parties are working together to get all intended users trained from various locations around the world.
