 Customer Background

PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC) measures their success by yours.  Everyday more than 163,000 people in 151 countries go to work to help their clients succeed.  From Dublin to Durban, from Minneapolis to Manila, their job is channeling knowledge and value through lines of service and 22 industry-specialized practices.

Their Global Annual Review details how their industry-focused services in the fields of assurance, tax, human resources, transactions, performance improvement, and crisis management have helped address client and stakeholder issues.  Their success in meeting today’s business challenges rests on the way they approach their work.”

In 2008, PwC purchased the inProcess software in support of their quality process management system development, implementation, and continual maintenance efforts.  Originally, PwC intended to only use the software to map short and long-term projects at their Shared Service Center (SSC) in Columbia, South Carolina, however, through continued use of inProcess, interest has expanded, generating greater exposure in more highly visible projects.

Customer Challenge

The greatest challenge facing PwC regarding the inProcess software is access.  PwC is a global company, and process standardization efforts take time to reach all relevant parties.

In order to solve the issue of global access to the inProcess software, both the PMCS and PwC IT Department’s collaborated to stand-up the inProcess software on a centralized server located at the PwC US Data Center so that a larger group of users (US and Non-US) can use inProcess from a centralized location.  As of October 2012, both parties are working together to get all intended users trained from various locations around the world.
